Hello everyone, i just went trough the 14 pages, and I just suscribed here today :)
I believe (correct me if i'm wrong) something was not said about the reverend and his outcasting of his own daughter :
In the epilogue...

Spoiler
...if Geralt has killed Vincent the werewolf, we find Carmen one last time at the safe house where she again calls the witcher a bastard for killing the only person she ever loved. She then reveals the story of how she became a Viziman ******. She was raped by Mikul and his fellow guards, which is how she got pregnant. That pregnancy caused her father, the Reverend, to throw her out onto the streets leaving her few options. She also refers to the Reverend as the "plowing Reverend", so there is even some suggestion of sexual abuse at the hands of her own father. If Geralt apologises for killing Vincent, she tells him that she may forgive him someday, but not today.
It brings also light on Mikul, as it makes the rape of Ilsa (even more) possible
Knowing that Mikul is under the Reverend's orders, and how close they are to each other, and how they threw out "filthy" people, he even might ASKED Mikul and his guards to rape her, to make her pregnent, and have an excuse for throwing her out.
Of course, he could also say "I raped my daughter, she is filthy" but he then would have lost all credibility and maybe got executed.
Also, that makes us believe the reverend might have done more than just beating Alvin in the closet, which is maybe why he is so messed up in the future...

Spoiler
and i'm not only talking about the Shani part where Geralt is drunk...but the REAL future if you know what I mean
What I (used to ?) believe is that the mob went out to seek Abigail, and that the beast feasted out their corpses... but how could the beasts / the Beast burn houses down ? Why would EVERYBODY go out ? AT NIGHT ? Why does the Grandmother still lives ? ><
Plus, at the end of Act IV, they talk about doing "another massacre like the outskirts". Might be more of a human's doing after all... Or Both, in an attempt to control everything, stop the beast and "burn the unclean", the Order tried to erase the village from the map.
I don't think the Beast would be Geralt's doing or conscequence, he was not from this region at all at first. When he arrived, the Beast roamed in the outskirts for a long time already.
And one last thing, people here said that Abigail seems like a nice person to take Alvin under her cover... but don't forget she is a witch. She can "smell" magic. And Alvin IS a
