We are happy to inform you that The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut is now available to download! The Director’s Cut lets gamers in North America experience wonders not commonly seen in their neck of the woods as they enjoy the developers’ original vision for the game. You will be able to download it as both free patch for existing owners and as a stand-alone product at various digital distributors. Note: The Director’s Cut patch does not contain patch 1.5 features. You must apply both patches if you want both 1.5 and Director’s Cut features. Patches can be applied on version 1.4 (Enhanced Edition) in any order. And remember, the Director's Cut patch is only really applicable to those who have the North American version of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. The patch is hosted by sciagnij.pl Click here to downloadIf you also want to download patch 1.5, please click here. The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut FAQ Update:Director's Cut is now up on Steam in North America! 30% off for the next week.

So If I have the steam copy, do I need any extra patches or is this all being applied on install? I always figured steam would be automatic but I hear the 1.5 patch was never released to steam owners. If I install the now Director's Edition on steam - will 1.5's patch be installed as well?
It seems odd to me to require standalone patches for a steam game.

Hey Eriash, for some odd reason, it's been happening to quite a few people, the sciagnij.pl pages don't load. All we see is a blank site.
Perhaps someone who can download it, could provide a different mirror?
It would be appreciated.

Same question. The steam version has not been updated to 1.5 (as far as I know) yet, Will the steam version be updated to 1.5 also?

As it says, the Director's Cut does not include the 1.5 Patch. Since Steam is handled by Valve, CDProject RED really doesn't have much influence about how Steam works with patches. The way I understood, you'd have to wait until Steam releases the 1.5 Patch and the Director's Cut as Steam versions.

There are some mirrors already -- FileShack.com, AtomicGamer.com, WorthPlaying.com, BigDownload.com should all have it. Sorry to anyone having issues with the Sciagnij page -- I had the same problem this morning.
As for Steam... really not sure what's up; I was expecting it to be up there two hours ago. However, they should have both 1.5 and the Director's Cut as of today -- again, I'm not sure why they didn't get the 1.5 update beforehand, but they should have it soon. You should be able to install the DC patch and the 1.5 patch in any order on your Enhanced Edition install.

Thanks for the links, Eriash and ElvisX3K! @Tom Ohle, oh, I thought since the patch was just released, there wouldn't be any other mirrors yet. Uppps @ElvisX3K,where are you physically? I'm in North America and if you're also in North America, it's my connection thats somehow faulty, but if you're in, lets say Sweden, it might be that North America is somehow cut off.

I'm in North America (in New York). When the patch was first put on the forums, I did get an error going to it. After ten minutes, the page loaded for me with no trouble at all however.

FYI, I'm told the Steam version will be up within a couple of hours. Sorry for the delay.
