We are pleased to inform that the community which gathered around D’jinni Adventure Editor is constantly getting bigger and stronger. This week we’ve started Russian version of the D’jinni Wiki (thanks to the courtesy of superfans from Russia). Everyone fluent in Russian language is more than welcome to contribute and form new modding teams.

We invite you also to have a look at new tutorials and articles on English D’jinni Wiki, part of which was created by our friends from REDFlame Interactive. We are also waiting for information from new modding teams – write at community@thewitcher.com!

The team at REDFlame Interactive is proud to help, but more importantly we also greatly anticipate helping other mod teams out there waiting for a chance to create their dreams through the Djinni toolset, with all the community resources available. And there's a lot to be had!

Links are below:

Again, the The Djinni Wikia is here:

Just like to add that REDFlame Interactive is working full force on Strands of Destiny.  But it's just as important to help the community get full swing into launching their own mods as well.  We have been launching advanced tutorials for building your own creations, anywhere from advanced scripting to using the official exporter.  Currently, the main tutorial we are in the progress of building is exporting areas and models into Djinni using the official exporter.  Once we are complete, anyone with 3DS Max 9 should be able to create new landscapes, as well as characters, weapons, and more.

We are also in the process of building a community content database.  This will include many models, scripts, and textures that the community can use as a basis for their own mods.  The preliminary database is up on the Djinni Wikia.  It will be heavily expanded as time progresses.

Aside from this, if anyone has any issues with designing a mod, or wishes to learn more about Djinni, we are open to help everyone.  We have been going through the Djinni forums as much as possible, and you can email us at community@witchermod.com if you have a specific question or want someone to take a look at your mod if you're having issues.

I hope to see many more mods in the near future and REDFlame will do what we can to help everyone accomplish that.  Let's bring more of The Witcher world to life.

We are as good as finished with the translation into German of the English DJinni manual  Cool Means that the pure translation team is almost finished. The piece of work now has to be proofread... yes, German is a difficult language even for us native speakers  Grin

More info when the project launches...

We have just launched the official exporter tutorial to build your own models and landscapes and export them into Djinni.  This will allow everyone to be able to create new areas, buildings, items, weapons, and more.  We have a small working area to show the hardest process of exporting a walkable area, and once we get a few minor details covered, it will be launched with the tutorial.  The link is:

    * Full Exporter Manual for 3DsMax9
    * Example Area

You will still need to download the exporter.  You can find the exporter, and the instructions to install it correctly, at:

    * Model Exporting

We hope this helps everyone see their modding ideas come to fruition.   And if anyone needs assistance with the exporter, don't hesitate to ask.  Smiley

Let me ask you some questions...

Such beeing the case the Witcher modding community is very busy and engaged, I decided to introduce all modding projects (teams) on the German Witcher Wiki in our modding section http://hexer.wikia.com/wiki/Modding "The Witcher Modding Community"

It's not quite clear to me, what's the function of REDFlame Interactive  Grin You develope / participate / support the The Strand of Destiny project but you also support other modding projects by sharing your knowlegde and tutorials with others? I'm not quite sure which part I should give you in our above mentioned modding category.

Primarily we're developing Strands of Destiny, but we'd also like to see many more adventures in the Witcher world and make it easier for the community to get a feel of how complex and powerful Djinni is.  We're sort of a jack of all trades at the moment.  Smiley

It seems that RedFlame is going the extra mile, showing us how their experience can help the rest of us in our own modding. As such, they deserve recognition and a huge pat-on-the-back for sharing their knowledge with the rest of we Witcher lovers.  Grin From reading other threads, I know they've helped many of us.
