What personal information is collected?
CD Projekt only collects personal information on a voluntary basis. If an on-line visitor submits information to CD Projekt, it will usually be in a form of either message boards, contest
registrations or newsletters. Personal information collected will include only the visitor's nickname, e-mail address and nationality. We do not require any other personal information to use all the
features of this site.
Could CD Projekt ask for other personal information?
The only situation when CDProjekt might ask for other information, such a name and address, is when this kind of information is necessary to perform a specific action - such sending prizes in a competition. However, this kind of information is NOT stored and is removed after usage.
What other types of information may be collected?
For some activities, we might ask our visitors to create a username and a password.
Can CD Projekt gather any other information?
CD Projekt can ask a visitor to provide other personal information - such as age, date of birth, gender or kind of hardware used. However, those information will be gathered through surveys only,
specifically for statistics purposes and as such WILL NOT be connected with any of the visitor's personal data. CD Projekt may use this information to generate aggregate statistics about its user
community and may provide such information to advertisers and partners.
How does CD Projekt use its visitors' personal information?
We may use gathered personal information for internal marketing, profiling, or demographic purposes, aiming at adapting our products and services to better suit the needs of our customers. We do this
to serve our visitors better.
Who is collecting the visitors' information?
When a visitor is asked for information while on the Witcher site, he or she is sharing that information exclusively with CD Projekt.
With whom may the visitors' personal information be shared?
CD Projekt may need to disclose gathered personal information to third parties for purposes of mailings, analyzing and storing of the data and alike. CD Projekt shall attempt to ensure that any and
all such third parties have agreed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of the personal information obtained from CD Projekt and that this information is not used for any other
purpose.
How is it possible to remove the personal data provided earlier?
Any action (like “mailings”) in which e-mail addresses are used includes information on methods of removing or changing the data provided by the visitor. Thanks to this, a user has the possibility of
being excluded from any future mailings.
How secure is the personal information provided to CD Projekt?
Access to all personal information is strictly controlled with all security procedures required by the Polish Personal Data Protection Law dated August 29th 1997.
