Every new single day brings new awards and honours for The Witcher. The game has been very positively perceived in Russia reaching an uncanny bestseller status (more than 200 000 sold copies of The Witcher), which is also reflected in the received awards. Significant russian gaming site Playground.ru has awarded The Witcher in the annual summary with three awards and the most important one - the Game of the Year 2007 - as well as the Best RPG of 2007 and the Best Score. Speaking of other awards, it is also worth noticing that in the Reader's Choice Awards given at Gamezone site, a title of the Best PC Game of the Year has been received by The Witcher.
