Members of Visual Effects Society (VES) have announced nominations for their prestigious annual awards. In category "Outstanding Pre-Rendered Visuals in a Video Game" there have been nominated: Tomasz Bagiński, Marcin Kobylecki, Grzegorz Kukuś and Maciek Jackiewicz of Platige Image, for creating an opening cinematic sequence for the game "The Witcher". Consequently, they can be found in an exclusive company of Jeff Chamberlain and Scott Abeyta, who were creating cinematic intro for the game World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade and Tim Miller, Jerome Denjean, Al Shier, who along with Blur Studio have been creating cinematic sequences for the game Hellgate: London.
Cinematic sequences for The Witcher in Platige Image have been finished after one year by a team consisting of about 20 people and led by Tomasz Bagiński.
Visual Effects Society (VES) is the entertainment industry's only organization granting awards for visual effects in all areas of entertainment from film, television and commercials to music videos and games. Currently the organization consists of more than 1,500 members in 17 countries.
