The Witcher Christmas Contest

27.11.2009, 16:28Comments: 18

Our Christmas contest this year is something between an Advent calendar and a scavenger hunt. It starts on 1st December and ends on 24th December. Your quest is to find 24 small Christmas pictures with the date's number we hide this picture everywhere in our cosy forum. The winner is who finds the most pictures points. All pictures and successful hunters are documented in a "Advent scavenger hunt" thread we start on 1st December.

Rules of participation:

  • You can only find one pic per day because we only hide one per day. Due to timezones we hide the pic on varied time of day.
  • You have a timelimit of 24 hours to find the active pic. For example pic with number 14 for 14th December you can only find and report on this day. If you find it on 15th December it's too late and not valid anymore. If no-one finds the picture we start to give you hints.
  • There are three winners per day who receive points. The person who finds it in the first place receives 3 points, the second receives 2 points and the third one point.
  • You notifiy your treasure via personal message to Petra or Ifayra.
  • Only community members who have registered the game are permitted to participate.

Prizes
1st place - The Witcher Medalion, The Witcher dice game, Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski in English and three forum Orens
2nd place - The Witcher dice game and two forum Orens

Good luck everyone and keep your eyes open!

CD Projekt RED’s official announcement about another information leak regarding The Witcher 2

19.11.2009, 13:14Comments: 71

"Unfortunately, I have to confirm that the video which appeared a few days ago on the Internet is indeed a presentation of The Witcher 2. It’s a video of a demonstration of the game during the so-called business days of the IGROMIR game expo in Russia,” said Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD Projekt RED.

“It was a closed demonstration for business partners, representatives of the biggest trade chains and a handful of chosen journalists – one of many such demonstrations CD Projekt RED has been doing in various countries. Unfortunately, despite a declared ban on filming and photography at all such events, someone managed to shoot a video at IGROMIR. Just like last time, we will not comment on that. Simultaneously, we can assure you that all confirmed information will be revealed soon after the game is officially announced.”

Congratulations! We have also decided to prepare a little surprise gift for the runner-up Fiona from Sweden :)

Hi there folks!

It's Fall and Winter is coming. Animals begin their hibernation and our Community News... doesn't fall asleep. Yeah, we know it’s been a while since we last met in Community News, but we hope you didn’t forget about us, because we surely didn’t forget about you. We plan to be more regular from now on and in some refreshed form.

In this issue:
- Traitor or saviour? - how should we call a person responsible for the Witcher 2 leaked video?
- The White Wolf rises in orange raiment - remember, the time is almost up for the Halloween Pumpkin contest!
- Revealing Research - ever wondered what do those all names in The Last Wish mean and where did they come from? Then you definitely should check this out.
- Rewards and appreciations - that's what Tiggers like most, or at least some of them Wink

Have a nice read! It's just a click ahead
